In the "Schmiedlarhof holiday flat", newly built in 2022, solid wood ensures a natural indoor climate.

Sports enthusiasts get their money's worth in summer on the well-signposted mountain bike and racing bike routes or alpine tours. With the extensive network of cycle paths and well-timed public transport network to the nearest towns of Dornbirn and Bregenz on Lake Constance, you can enjoy your car-free holiday.

With the Bregenzerwald Guest Card you can also use all the swimming pools and cable cars in the area free of charge in addition to bus transport.

In winter, you can hop on the ski bus in the immediate vicinity in the morning, which takes you to the nearby Diedamskopf ski area in Au-Schoppernau, the largest ski area in the Bregenzerwald Mellau-Damüls or the Arlberg area in Warth-Schröcken. The cross-country ski trail and the extensive winter hiking trails in the village invite you to stroll through the wintry landscape. Further up, snowshoes or toboggans are the perfect way to enjoy winter fun.

Fresh raw milk, free-range eggs and seasonal meat and sausage products are available to our guests directly on the farm.

The hosts are proud of their typical regional brown cattle farm with its dairy cows, bulls and offspring, the chickens for the fresh breakfast eggs and the farm cat.As full-time master farmers, the hay-milk farm is run using traditional three-stage farming methods. 

The cows' milk is used to make flavoursome mountain cheese or fresh alp cheese on the alpine pasture in summer. In early summer and autumn, you are cordially invited to visit the family on the "Vorsäß Schalzbach".In summer, the animals spend time on the alps in the Diedams area and the Auenfelder in Lech am Arlberg, which is definitely worth a hike.
