The dairy cows spend the summer on the Alpe Sattelegg, to which the Geiger family invites their guests once a week, where you can look over the shoulder of alpine dairyman Daniel Geiger during the special and traditional alpine cheese production and learn a lot about alpine farming and the mountains of the Bregenzerwald from the alpine farmers and the herdsmen.

Well-signposted hiking and walking trails lead you through the Bregenzerwald all year round and make for an unforgettable time.

In winter you can reach the (family) ski areas quickly and easily with the ski bus, which stops just a few steps away from the house.There are also toboggan runs, snowshoe trails and cross-country ski trails that stretch across Au-Schoppernau. A horse-drawn sleigh ride is a pure and unforgettable winter experience.

Cows, calves, a pony and the farm dog Sina, who is particularly happy to be visited by children, are the farm's inhabitants. Stable work such as watering calves, milking cows or grooming ponies can be experienced up close in winter - when the animals are in the Haldenhof stable and no longer on the alpine pasture.
