Awakened by the first rays of sunshine, your gaze sweeps over the vast expanse of the Ennstal valley and comes to rest on the mighty backdrop of the Grimming and Dachstein mountains.

The cows are already grazing on the soft green meadows, the scent of freshly mown grass hovers in the air.

Anyone can reach for a fork or rake, as many things are still done by hand on this mountain farm.

In the evening, sit on the comfortable wooden bench outside the house and watch the sun disappear behind the Grimming in a blaze of red - a beautiful day is coming to an end.

We look forward to the next morning and really relish the fresh milk, delicious yoghurt, crusty farmhouse bread and hearty spreads .

Still with a milk moustache, we then have to pay a visit to all the animals - the calveshave already drunk their milk, the ducks are quacking over the farmyard, the cats want to be stroked and our pig Willi sets off in search of food.
