Am Marktplatz direkt gegenüber der mächtigen barocken Wallfahrtskirche "Zum gegeißtelten Heiland auf der Wies" gelegen, trägt das Haus seit Generationen zu Recht den Beinamen "Kirchenwirt".
Seid Oktober 2024 ist der Restaurantbetrieb eingestellt und wir verwöhnen unsere Gäste morgens mit unserem "Schilcherland-Frühstück" und nachmittags mit unseren süßen Köstlichkeiten. Im Winter mit hausgemachten Mehlspeisen und im Sommer schlemmt man unser Softeis nach alter Rezeptur.
Dem Gasthof angeschlossen ist ein Weingarten und eine Landwirtschaft. Beides gehört zu den großen Leidenschaften unseres Chefs.
Die Region um den alten, geschichtsträchtigen Markt Wies bietet ein abwechslungsreiches Urlaubs- und Erholungsanbot.
Wir sind sehr leicht auch mit dem Zug erreichbar. Die Haltestelle "Wies - Marktplatz" ist hinter der Kirche. Ca. 50 m entfernt.
Three double rooms, furnished with genuine Styrian wood furniture, have been completely refurbished this year! All rooms include a balcony, flat screen TV, desk, and modern Italian-style bathroom fixtures.
An additional bed or crib are available upon request. Please let us know ahead of time.
Free WLAN is available in the rooms and throughout the building!
Our office is closed with only limited availability on TUESDAYS. Please make reservations by 12:00 noon if doing so on a Tuesday.

Breakfast can be enjoyed outdoors in the garden during the summer if you wish, and next to the ceramic stove during the winter.
Enjoy a breakfast of regional and homemade specialties after a restful sleep, then spend an exciting day exploring the area.
Our breakfast choices include homemade jams, honey from local beekeepers, butter made from local milk, and juices - both homemade and from local farmers. Local ham and sausages, free-range eggs, vegetables, yogurt, muesli, and fresh baked goods round out the assortment.

Discover regional delicacies at our Gasthof. Seasonal specialties of the region make our meals something to look forward to. Schilcher wine, pumpkin seed oil, pumpkin. fresh herbs, salads, fresh vegetables, and fruit grace our menu during the summer months, while wild game is featured in the fall.
We have been awarded the AMA-Gastrosiegel (quality seal for food), which is your guarantee that our food is locally sourced!
Our family-owned and operated butcher shop, which also bears the AMA-Gastrosiegel, provides all of our meats. All of the butchering and processing takes place in-house!
