Our family is constantly seeking to celebrate the Upper Austrian hospitality and put cooperation between all family members in the centre of attention. After all, three generations live on our farm Altroiterhof.

Our farm Altroiterhof is located in the Salzkammergut region, on the northern shore of the famous Lake Wolfgangsee, at the foot of the mountain Schafberg. Facing south on a hillside of 620 m, our farm looks back on 600 years of history: It was first mentioned in 1416. The farm was built for “Anna, daughter of the Zauner family from Altreut”. It has been owned by our family for more than 200 years.

Our highlight: The breathtaking view of picturesque Lake Wolfgangsee. There’s no other place where you can take in such a marvellous view of this gem in the Salzkammergut region. Take a seat on our sunny panoramic terrace, relax in a lounger or on the private balcony. The unrivalled scenery with the pilgrimage church in the village, the scenic Lake Wolfgangsee and the mountains of the inner Salzkammergut region will make you stand in awe!

Hospitality, locally grown food and sustainability

We have renovated and expanded our traditional farmhouse, adding exclusive-traditional modern chalets, apartments and deluxe double rooms. We celebrate the Upper Austrian hospitality - local cooperations and economic sustainability are our top priorities. These values are not mere keywords. We live by these principles every day.
