The four pillars of Natur-Gut Lassen:
- Agriculture - our small farm at this high location and with this structure could not have survived, but in combination with tourism, it offers a great proposition. The farm gives us natural produce which we can offer directly to our guests. The authenticity of the produce can be witnessed directly by the guests on site. Healthy meadows, high-quality spring water and good air are the living conditions for our animals on the farm - donkey, pony, pigs, cows, cattle, ducks, fish, cats and of course our fish. Our motto is: Think and act in accordance with the cycles of nature.
- Forestry - forest management is based on carefully controlling tree populations, this being the key to a natural and sustainable forest. Another focus is avoiding monocultures and encouraging naturally occurring mixed forests. Energy - all of Natur-Gut Lassen's energy is provided by a wood chipper, allowing us increase the productivity of the forest for otherwise almost unsaleable wood types. The wood used for the conversion of Natur-Gut Lassen also comes from our own forest, and was cut on site with a portable saw, then dried and processed.
- Feel-good holiday at Natur-Gut Lassen - accommodation is the strongest of our four pillars. For us, offering guest accommodation offers us the possibility of putting our creativity and implementation skills to the test each day. The location is a particular highlight - on a high plateau at an altitude of 1040 m, nestled among meadows and forests, with views of large parts of Carinthia. The rooms are all appointed in different types of wood, offering a choice of chestnut, larch or copper beech for example. In this way our guests have a strong connection to the various wood types which can then be seen in living form on our barefoot trail. In this way the circle of experienced nature is completed. The cuisine - Mediterranean lightness meets "alpine cuisine". Our own produce, such as beef, veal, pork, fish and venison from our own hunting grounds, are carefully prepared. Children's and adults' cookery courses are very popular. Additional themes: Barefoot trail, three times weekly day care, swimming pool - the water's edge = the edge of the horizon, high seats for reading... Interesting seminars are offered in the early and late seasons. Sweat lodge seminar, ScanReading, geomancy seminars...
- Information - the fourth and most inspiring pillar is consultation. The emphasis is on interdisciplinary theme combinations. Working in networks is the key to success.
