The cozy 40m2 “Chalet Almhaus Strobl” was largely renovated and redesigned by my husband Stefan and myself in 2023-2024 with a lot of love, an eye for detail and a successful mix of rustic coziness and a certain touch of luxury.

Since May 2025, our guests have been able to enjoy a newly built panoramic wellness area with a Swiss stone pine sauna, infrared sauna and wooden hot tub with refreshing spring water.

In the middle of the UNESCO Nockberge Biosphere Park, this place is a true oasis to recharge your batteries and relax, while you can let your gaze wander over the Nockberge mountains, the Brennsee lake and the Gegendtal valley to the magnificent Karawanken mountains on the horizon.

The Nockberge mountains are a paradise for hiking, biking, snowshoeing and ski touring.

You will be enchanted by the many different moods that nature presents you with every day up here. Sometimes a puffy cloud cover in the valley. A bright blue, cloudless sky as far as the horizon. A fantastic sunrise over the Nockalm in the east. Breathtakingly beautiful sunset over the Karawanken. An impressive starry sky with a sea of lights in the valley. Romantic drifting snow in winter.

The “Strobl-Alm” in Zödl am Laufenberg is a special spot for your exceptional vacation at any time of year.

Another special feature that makes our retreat oasis so unique is the wooden fountain - carved by my husband Stefan himself - with first-class drinking water quality from our own mountain spring. A fountain of youth, as well as refreshing cooling on hot summer days.

Spoiled by the sun, the spacious, larch-scented 24m2 terrace invites you to chill out and barbecue.

The spacious bedroom is stylishly and comfortably furnished with two reading sofas, infinity double bed and en-suite bathroom. 

The cozy kitchen-cum-living room made of old wood is fully equipped - electric stove with oven, large fridge with freezer compartment, filter coffee machine, a toaster and a kettle. There are plenty of dishes, pans and pots.   

Throughout the apartment you can enjoy water from our own mountain spring with the purest drinking water quality - both in the kitchen and in the bathroom and shower.

All rooms in the chalet are equipped with underfloor heating, which creates a really cozy atmosphere.

The fragrant larch floors in the apartment and both terraces are made of wood from our own forest.
