We very much appreciate face-to-face conversations with our guests who come and visit us from all corners of Europe. After all it’s also the friendly and informal ambience that makes our guests feel at home on our farm. We would like to give our guests a thorough insight into the natural and peaceful life in the countryside.

Here, children can simply be children. They can romp and play, swim and get to know our farm in all facets. For our young guests, our family-friendly farm ensures fun and entertainment.

Arrive, breathe, revive:
At Biohof Grubbauer, a campsite with heart awaits you, nestled in the quiet expanse of the Kalkalpen National Park region. Located directly on the Sebaldus cycling and hiking pilgrim trails, our site is a retreat for nature lovers, those seeking tranquility, and spiritual travelers.

32 lovingly named pitches, regional farm products, a lively farm atmosphere with over 200 sheep, and sustainable design make your stay special – authentic, honest, and close to nature.

"Prosi Hube" - a recently renovated farmhouse - is located at an altitude of approx. 1,250 m above sea level and offers all the comfort you could wish for. The secluded, sunny location offers magnificent panoramic views of Mur Valley and is ideal for family holidays.

A living space of 130 m² is at your disposal. The spacious kitchen/living room is appointed with a cosy seating area, electric stove, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, satellite TV, coffee percolator and toaster. The old vaulted cellar serves as storage room. The 3 cosy bedrooms can accommodate up to 9 persons. There is also a washing machine in the bathroom. Please bring your own towels and bed linen.

A garage for bicycles is also available. A BBQ area and sunbathing area are located in front of the self-catering holiday home. The access road is fit for traffic throughout the year. It is an ideal place for spending a hiking holiday, winter holiday, summer holiday or golfing holiday. Hiking and cycling trails are located in the immediate proximity of the house. There is a bathing lake nearby and the region has its own golf course, ice rinks and skiing areas. You are also offered the opportunity to purchase regional farm products.

The business is entirely family run, and as well as offering comfortable rooms and a spacious holiday apartment, we also offer quality cuisine with good country cooking and Waldviertel specialities.

Our farm is located in the small municipality of Arndorf in a peaceful and heavily forested area with many walking and hiking trails. Just 10 minutes' walk away is the next municipality of Neukirchen with the Church of St. Mary, bank, shop and guesthouse.

Our farm offers the ideal conditions for getting to know life and work on a farm. Anyone who wishes to can lend a hand in the stable or in the fields.

The excursion destinations in the surrounding area such as Pöggstall, the Wachau and the castles and palaces of the Waldviertel offer variety.

Did you know that the air is already thinner at an altitude of 1,700 m? Here, you can breathe deeply - there are no pollen and mites.

Welcome to a location rich in alpine flowers: gentian, alpine rose, orchids, edelweiss and many more.

A perfect spot for magnificent alpine hikes and mountain tours. Even Brad Pitt has come here to climb our local mountain (Sadnig 2,745 m). Its summit offers unique views reaching from the Lienz Dolomites and the Grossglockner all the way to the Schober Group.

Here, you can still see the starry sky. The stars appear to be so close that it seems possible to pick them from the sky. In this clear mountain air, you can see the star constellations in the sky or watch shooting stars.

In the beautiful Kremsmünster, with a fabulous view of the Kremsmünster Abbey of the same name, lies our over 900-year-old four-sided farm. We cultivate an herb-growing area and grow vegetables. Chickens, rabbits, cats, and alpacas enrich our life on the farm.

For over 30 years, I have been privately and professionally involved with healing and wild herbs. 

Sleeping hut in the herb field: A very special getaway for two! In the sleeping hut, listen to the rustling of the herbs in the wind, watch the bees at work, gaze at Kremsmünster Abbey, and see peacefully grazing alpacas outside the window – what more could you want? Truly slow down and relax. The private bathroom was opened in September 2025 and is brand new - equipped with a toilet, shower, and sink - for your exclusive use.

Spend unique couple time in our 9 m² self-sufficient little house with a double bed. Sunsets, enjoyed with a glass of wine, gain even more meaning in this secluded location. In the mornings, you'll be woken by the sun's rays and can enjoy breakfast on your private terrace. This tranquility. This herbal scent. The nature. It will do you good!

And for more space, our holiday apartment is available, with 90m² or extendable up to 130m², FULLY EQUIPPED.

We are happy to give you insight into our herbal knowledge. We teach courses and host workshops. The focus is on imparting ancient herbal wisdom, practical applications, and the art of smudging.

The farm shop is brimming with herbal delicacies such as pesto, syrup, liqueurs, smudging blends, herbal salt, tea, herbal pillows, ritual objects,...

Directly on the farm is our 1,500 m² medicinal herb garden. Plant signage makes identification easier. During a guided walk through the 120 different varieties you are guaranteed to be amazed! The town center of Kremsmünster is easily accessible by bike or a few minutes by car - an ideal starting point for an extensive hike. The Kremstal Cycle Path is perfect for relaxed bike tours.

Many catering establishments in the vicinity cater to your physical well-being - unless you prefer to create culinary highlights yourself in the modern holiday apartment kitchen. Herbs and vegetables for this can be found seasonally in our own fields.

The "Tree in the Middle of the World" viewpoint is reachable within a few minutes' walk and offers a fabulous view of the Alpine foothills. The small observation tower invites you to gaze far across the land.

If you are looking for rest, relaxation and togetherness then our Krieglwaldhütte is the right place for you. The rustic hut for 2 people is beautifully situated in the middle of the countryside between woods and meadows. Here you can switch off and enjoy nature to the full. 

The hut has running water and a small wood-burning stove for cooking. The toilet is only a few steps away from the hut and because there is no electricity or WiFi, you will experience a hut vacation like back then. 

Children particularly enjoy the playground in the orchard where guests can stroll about. We know that they also really enjoy the animals on the farm (horses, cats, cows, rabbits). Feeding and milking the animals in the barn means kids both big and small always have something to do. There are also many ways for parents to relax (the lawn, sitting areas, sauna, barbecue...) In the region there are: Weekly programmes for children and adults, lakes and outdoor pools, biking and hiking trails and a rich programme for those interested in culture. Ulrichsberg offers you: asphalt Barvarian-curling hall, beach volleyball court, adventure playground, fly fishing on the Großen Mühl river, the Bohemian Forest golf park, 3 km from Ulrichsberg, Internet café in the youth hostel, skate park, tennis courts, indoor vitality pool, numerous biking and hiking trails, viewpoints, bathing lake, gym, outdoor swimming pools with diving boards or water slides, bowling alleys, miniature golf hall, indoor and outdoor riding arenas, indoor shooting range, bee-keeping, country houses, chapels, churches, artists studios, museums, the Stift Schlägl brewery, weaving, and much more, all within only 10 km! Only 70 km to Linz, the capital of Upper Austria and to Passau in Bavaria! For guests from Germany the trip through Passau has no TRAFFIC JAMS or ROAD TAX!

Our farm lies approx. 2 km above Wagrain in a sunny and quiet location.

Enjoy the impressive view of the surrounding mountains, or simply spend some nice hours on the large sunbathing lawn with a beautiful children's playground. A large garden grill is at your disposal for cosy evening hours. Try a home-made fruit schnapps with us!

Our house is the ideal starting point for small and large hikes or excursions in the region. Boredom has no place with us!

Our organic farm is a beautiful place in all seasons. Here, you and your family can let go of the responsibilities of everyday life and recharge your batteries. Apart from the homemade bread, fresh milk and eggs for breakfast, there are other niceties such as fishing in the trout pond, a trampoline, table tennis tables, darts, or for something different "hay hopping." If you want to end an active and busy day in peace, treat yourself to some time in our sauna or infrared cubicle.

Our small, idyllic farm is located in the beautiful "Rantnertal", near Murau. Here, surrounded by mountains which are ideal for walks of all difficulty levels, you will find peace and recuperation from the stresses of everyday life. This is also a great place for your children, who can enjoy helping in the stable, our playing field with a swing, slide and trampoline, horse riding or swimming in the neighbouring municipality.
