The Mayrhof in Werfenweng is an idyllically situated farm on the outskirts of Werfenweng. The flats were all newly renovated in 2023 and offer space for up to seven people.

The highlight in summer is the free entry for guests to the swimming lake, which is right next to the farm. Many attractions and activities in the immediate vicinity, such as a climbing park, mountain cart track and paragliding school.

In winter, perfectly groomed pistes, cross-country ski trails, winter hiking trails, horse-drawn carriage rides and our own toboggan slope behind the house offer variety, adventure and fun.

"Prosi Hube" - a recently renovated farmhouse - is located at an altitude of approx. 1,250 m above sea level and offers all the comfort you could wish for. The secluded, sunny location offers magnificent panoramic views of Mur Valley and is ideal for family holidays.

A living space of 130 m² is at your disposal. The spacious kitchen/living room is appointed with a cosy seating area, electric stove, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, satellite TV, coffee percolator and toaster. The old vaulted cellar serves as storage room. The 3 cosy bedrooms can accommodate up to 9 persons. There is also a washing machine in the bathroom. Please bring your own towels and bed linen.

A garage for bicycles is also available. A BBQ area and sunbathing area are located in front of the self-catering holiday home. The access road is fit for traffic throughout the year. It is an ideal place for spending a hiking holiday, winter holiday, summer holiday or golfing holiday. Hiking and cycling trails are located in the immediate proximity of the house. There is a bathing lake nearby and the region has its own golf course, ice rinks and skiing areas. You are also offered the opportunity to purchase regional farm products.

Our home the Jöhrerhof was already mentioned in 1736 in Tscheltsch at 1240 m above sea level for the first time. Since then, the farm has remained in our family property throughout and we are proud of that.

Today, rural life plays a lot with nature again. So we rely on an organic dairy industry. We do not just produce our own cheese, but also bake the Lesachtaler bread as it should be baked - with our own cereals, with our own spices and lots of love.

Let us not only enjoy the nature with a breakfast and the products from our own farm, but just enjoy it once: sit in the lush meadows around the yard, play with the cat on the farm or taste the smell of freshly smoked bacon.

Our idyllic family farm is located in the upper Mühlviertel, amidst lush meadows and forests, right on the border with Bavaria. No one will bother you on your holiday - so you can leave your worries behind and enjoy the heavenly silence - broken only by the birds singing and the chirping of crickets.

Whether you spend your day relaxing under the pear tree or actively, with a hike in the woods - where you can find delicious blueberries for home cooked jam - or whether you choose the recreation centre at Ranna swimming lake with pedal boating and water slides is up to you.

The children enjoy life at the farm at least as much and many let their parents go out on a day trip while they stay here with us - after all, there's always plenty to do and they want to ride on the tractor too. Just like Mum and Dad do....

And after you have helped out in the evening in the busy barn, you can collect fresh milk for breakfast.

Somewhere under the starry sky, the day ends with a romantic campfire at bedtime, and one can look forward to tomorrow especially if the chirping of the birds is to be taken as a harbinger of sweet dreams.

Our farm is situated on a sunny hill in a wonderfully quiet environment. Far away from the main roads you can enjoy the view of the surrounding mountains.

At the farm we offer four fully equipped vacation apartments, which are individually designed.

The center of Großgmain is only 1,5 km away from our farm. Tennis court and outdoor swimming pool are only 500 m away. Due to our central location in the middle of the vacation triangle Salzburg - Berchtesgaden - Bad Reichenhall, there are countless possibilities for your vacation in summer and winter.

Vacation for culture lovers

The festival city of Salzburg with its cultural treasures can be reached quickly and easily by car or bus from Großgmain. The Salzburg Open Air Museum is also worth a visit. On an area of 50 hectares you can get to know the rural life and economy of the Salzburgerland from the 16th to the 20th century.

Vacations for those seeking peace and quiet

Walks in and around Großgmain will take you to particularly beautiful places that invite you to relax. Always with a view of the surrounding mountains, you can breathe in the clear mountain air. In neighboring Bavaria, the Watzmann Therme and the Rupertustherme await your visit.

In summer, extensive cycling and hiking trails in the SalzburgerLand and Berchtesgadener Land are waiting to be explored by you. From easy hikes for the whole family to high alpine tours up the Watzmann or Hochkalter, everything is possible. Activities around the Königssee or the Hintersee near Ramsau should not be missed.

In winter, our local mountain, the Untersberg, invites you to ski and do ski mountaineering. The Bad Reichenhall mountains are perfect for gentle ski mountaineering. A real insider tip for ski touring fans: here you will find untouched landscapes and unused slopes. If you want it more alpine, you can go to Berchtesgaden to tackle the classic tours. Ski fans will get their money's worth in the Jenner area or in Lofer.

Our small, idyllic farm is located in the beautiful "Rantnertal", near Murau. Here, surrounded by mountains which are ideal for walks of all difficulty levels, you will find peace and recuperation from the stresses of everyday life. This is also a great place for your children, who can enjoy helping in the stable, our playing field with a swing, slide and trampoline, horse riding or swimming in the neighbouring municipality.
