Our idyllic organic farm is located near the beautiful Bluntaubach stream and has been family-owned since 1741. On our farm there are many animals to pet and a nice playground for children, as well as fresh milk and eggs directly from the farm. Only 1 km from the centre of Golling, the local recreation area ‘Bluntautal’ and the ‘Gollinger Wasserfall’ are within walking distance. Our central location in the centre of Salzburger Land offers highlights such as hiking, cycling, the ‘Hohenwerfen Castle’, the ‘Eisriesenwelt’ and the Aqua Salza Golling swimming and wellness paradise. Our organic farm Rettenbachgut is situated in a sunny, secluded location above Werfen in the Salzburg Sonnenterrasse region in the province of Salzburg. Enjoy the magnificent view of the Tennengebirge, the Eisriesenwelt, and Hohenwerfen Castle. The approximately 900-year-old farmhouse combines tradition with warm hospitality.

On our organically run farm, cows, ponies, sheep, chickens, cats, and farm dog Rico are waiting for animal lovers young and old.

In summer, hikes start directly from the farm, and in winter, you can quickly reach ski touring routes, cross-country ski trails, and the Werfenweng and Ski amadé ski areas. Experience a relaxing holiday surrounded by people, animals, and nature.

If you are looking for rest, relaxation and togetherness then our Krieglwaldhütte is the right place for you. The rustic hut for 2 people is beautifully situated in the middle of the countryside between woods and meadows. Here you can switch off and enjoy nature to the full. 

The hut has running water and a small wood-burning stove for cooking. The toilet is only a few steps away from the hut and because there is no electricity or WiFi, you will experience a hut vacation like back then. 

Our mountain farm is set at the end of a small road, the B111.

You, your children and your pets will enjoy a nature-oriented break at a place where you’ll be treated as a family member. Look forward to barbecues in our large vine pergola, house concerts, coffee and games in the afternoon, a lawn for sunbathing, a playground, herb garden, home-made products and an ideal home base for hikes, country walks, climbs as well as boat and rafting tours.

If you are looking for peace and quiet and would really like to relax, our unique countryside offers numerous possibilities. Walk through untouched forests and meadows and listen to the sounds of nature or enjoy a glass of wine from the area on our terrace while your children are having fun in the playground.

People interested in cultural events also find what they are looking for when visiting the surrounding museums, castles, churches or various exhibitions.
We can also arrange for a visit to a traditional wine tavern with wine tasting and tour of an pumpkin seed oil mill. You can also help on the farm and spend time with the farm petting animals.

You can stock up on as much sunshine as you like in the sunbathing area. There is a bathing lake in the neighbouring town, which can be reached on foot, by bike as well as by car. Ideal starting point for hiking and cycling tours. Tandem flights are offered in the neighbouring town.

The barbecue is available for you to use whenever you want. We also organise nice barbecue evenings but Zillertal doughnuts can be baked on request. We moreover provide complimentary bicycle hire and afternoon coffee on rainy days.

The cabin lies by the Scharnitzbach, surrounded by mountain meadows and forest. In summer its is possible to barbecue in front of the cabin and enjoy the peace at the sunbathing area.

The cabin is appointed with vestibule, kitchen, large living room, pantry and a wash room with shower and WC. The cabin also features 5 pleasant and spacious attic rooms with a total of 10 beds. Crockery and bed linen are provided. There is a well in front of the cabin.

The cabin is available from mid May to approx. 30 September (no winter rentals).

The quiet location, our very well-equipped rooms and the large garden with swimming pool offer you and your family a relaxing holiday.

Location: Our establishment is located approx. 60 km north of Vienna in the direction of Znojmo and only 15 km from the border crossing point of Klein-Haugsdorf. The central location and proximity to the Czech Republic offer you numerous excursion options.

In the immediate surrounding area, the romantic churches in Schöngraben, the Prantauerkirche in Wullersdorf, the golf course in Schönborn and numerous cycle routes all offer sightseeing, experiences and relaxation.
